about Tweetie Jun 2011

This app is now owned by Twitter. There are some issues with the current version (1.2.8):

Tweetie triggers the dynamic graphics card switch on mid 2010 MacBook Pro.
Retweets are not recognized as actual retweets by twitter.
Some shortened url's do not work when clicking through.
Various other interface bugs/issues.

I contacted twitter support and here was their response:

Bob, Aug 09 10:28 am (PDT):

Hi RobertoCalavera,

Thanks for the feedback! Twitter recently acquired Tweetie in order to bring a better experience to all Twitter users. We thank you for supporting Tweetie.

We're big fans of Tweetie for Mac, and while I can't comment directly on it's future I can assure you that it's not going away. I suggest you follow @twitter and @twittermobile for the latest updates. news and product releases.

Bob
