Bitvise SSH Client Reviews

A lot to like, but inability to adjust horrible terminal colors is unacceptable

about Bitvise SSH Client · ·

The default SSH terminal color settings render directory names as dark-blue on black, with bleed-through from the Windows CMD window background color on some lines, making the terminal really painful to use for a long period of time. So, don't bother with it if you plan to spend a lot of time in shell.

Also, the user interface is much more complex than it needs to be, and documentation is poor.

Updates are slow -- version 4.x was said to be 'at end of development cycle' c. 2010, and we're still on v. 4.x as I write this in 2014.
