I can't imagine an internet without Tor! If there is no Tor with the heavy censorship and website blocking the internet becomes Intranet in here. Tor is like the lungs of my connection through which I can breath!

It's probably worth noting that Tor will be seriously annoying if you don't understand the implications of using it beforehand. As said on their site, Tor doesn't allow you to watch Youtube or accept any cookies, both of which can track you (it doesn't matter whether they actually do). Personally, I wouldn't use it unless I had a really good reason to.

I have very good experience with TOR(+Vidalia) to keep anonymity in the web and defend against network surveillance that threatens personal freedom and privacy. It is very simple to use with an own self opening Firefox Explorer, if you start the Tor button. With only one click in the TOR-menu in the system tray you can change your identity (IP-address).
In this special Firefox Explorer I set http://www.aboutip.de/ as Homepage to see after page-refresh, what IP-address I use after clicking "New Identity".

I only use it with sockcap to support proxy for my desktop app which doesn't have proxy settings. For http proxy setting, I use another tool because of the speed.

I see 2 advantages and one disadvantage:
(A) The Tor Browser Bundle lets you use Tor on Windows without needing to install any software. It can run off a USB flash drive, comes with a pre-configured Firefox web browser and is self contained. If you would prefer to use your existing web browser, install Tor permanently. More information for very quick installation of the bundle inluding Vidalia see: https://www.torproject.org/torbrowser/index.html.en
(B) I like the multi language user interface and support, e.g. german language is supported.

Disadvantage: surfing about TOR is very slow, but You can surf in a distributed, anonymous network.
