It was "okay"

Comment by impossible about KMPlayer Also mentioning: SMPlayer VLC Media Player MPC-HC Jul 2013

This was an okay player for me, I did not like the thumbnail for media files, The look of the player was not as good as I expected, I did like the features it had while playing my music such as: bit rate, album image etc. on the other hand I did not like that it installed a toolbar and I am sure I was not asked during the installation about a toolbar. I would not recommend it but I would take another look at it in the near future to see if it has improved.

Daum Potplayer over KMplayer

Comment by Thordelan about KMPlayer Also mentioning: Daum PotPlayer Oct 2011

If you guys like KMPlayer, then you definitely have to give a try to Daum PotPlayer, that's the new project from the guy who made KMplayer since he sold it, therefore both players are very similar, you won't be lost. PotPlayer is just better and loads a lot faster.

Its not really the same. One software is being maintained by an indie the other is by a company. They were started by the same indie, But both have gone different directions now.

And it's been translated in many languages since.

I'm sick of kmplayer it always crashes back to previous line of subtitle never work I mean these shortcuts (( , and . )) it freezes when you use the shortcuts

most of the time the sound isn't sync with the video

its annoying adds makes me nut
you have to block it with firewall but it isn't so straight forward they did some clever tricks to pass firewalls

it's rude , I suspect they even abuse their users data

it is so slow ((( the slowest player for sure ))) , does anybody know what all that buffering is for??? why the player buffers videos and I have to wait for a min all other players have the same postpro stuff but they don't need to buffer anything

potplayer works like a charm , it is fast 64bit , has English version too , no add , multi sub support and when you click on the subtitles it does a web search for the word or you can simply put the word or phrase in the clipboard

the best player I've ever seen

this is their website I think it always has been English plus other languages

KMPlayer is dead as in dead, the original author left the development long time ago and its development has stopped, its developer however started another project called POTPLAYER, which is in my opinion KMPlayer improved+features.

Incredible App

Comment by Nortemshine about KMPlayer Aug 2012

Does all of the codec work on its own, doesnt drop frames like VLC on high end files. recommended by 300mbunited

Seems to be a good player. It's sad that there are still programs out there that don't install themselves in Windows multi-user environments. If you install this on Win7, it will only be installed for the admin account under which you went through the install wizard. It's also not listed among the uninstall software dialog.

A great player. Plays most formats, has nice gui and shortcuts.

I can't get it to work on Win7... LOVED this program in xp. I prefer it over VLC.

Amazing player, even more amazing with CoreAVC. Has a lot of options to choose from a must have media player for high end computers, low-end too but high end PCs gets the most out of this app.

This is the great player ever in to history of plays almost all formats...........quick.........nice short its great..........

Sort of a cross between Winamp and VLC, I like it but its future doesn't look good. Probably will keep using this until VLC gets to a point where I like it (don't like the interface and buttons too large).
