Main version of SUMo packs Adware, so install the "SUMo Lite" version instead. It's Adware free and works great.

To clarify, I elected NOT to install the RK stuff. It did anyway. Then it started trying to hijack my browser settings. I ended up having to manually remove registry entires to get rid of it once and for all. It really gets it's hooks into your system. NOT the type of software any reputable developer's application should be keeping company with under any circumstances. And it's silly to blame the user and say 'oh well you can just download the version WITHOUT malware if you want to'. They shouldn't be bundling nasties with their product anyway!

...need RK? What would you NEED malware for? I'm extremely disappointed to see the malware included with SUMo lately. Prior to this, I was a big fan. Lately I use FileHippo for the few programs it checks on updates for and manually check for everything else. Kind of a pain, but better than malware.

If you don't need RK, you can download the standalone (zip) version or sumo_lite.

Used to be a nice piece of software before they bundled it with malware from Relevant Knowledge
