What makes Soulseek one of the best and longest surviving music sharing apps/networks is its users and their often incredible music shares. The Soulseek client itself may have an interface/design that ranges from merely average to downright clunky and the servers that the Soulseek network runs on have always had reliability issues, but the massive and highly diverse quantity of music that's available on the network more than makes up for the shortcomings of the client. To the point that it makes Napster in its glory days seem like a minor footnote in the history of music filesharing.
