QuickNote

The QuickNote developer Jens Müller just announced in an e-mail to me: "For version 5.5 I have planned, that the text of the main note will be automatically saved while shutting down".
Many thanks to Jens Müller for this very quick improvement.

Maybe it would be possible to repair a small daily very interfering lack with the next version:
After quitting of "Vista business 64 bit" with a restart-command, "QuickNote" prevents the shutting down and the restart of the computer, although "Warn if removable media in drives at shutdown" is not selected.
This is very annoying if one after "Windows quit and restarting" exits the room, and then later ascertains the fact, that Windows is not quit yet because QuickNote prevents this.

I like QuickNote very much as a very flexible multi function text editor and text storage box for daily use, because it is always with one mouseclick at the top of the screen ready to use. The storage location folder(s) is (are) freely selectable.
If I write comments in online applications or forums I first edit the text with Quicknote, then do some changes or translations (http://alternativeto.net/desktop/promt---free-online-translator-and-dictionary/) before posting the text online.
I have some often used standard texts as my phone number, OpenID-URL, account-numbers, fax number, mail-adresses, signatures, which I have stored in some texts in Quicknote, always ready to copy and paste it very quickly in e-Mails or other documents.
Only with QuickNote you can paste text from ComboBoxes or ErrorMessages in an editor.
I know no other editor with so many daily useful advantages. Try it and like it !
