i've tried foxit, sumatra and nitro. Foxit is for years standard on my desktop, because it's fast. For studying i needed the notation function, where nitro was best so far, but handling a bunch of large (scanned) Pdfs it was fugly slow. Pdf exchange is fast here and it's ocr function is astonishing and better then everything i've seen so far! new standard :D

The PDF browser plugin for this product works great with Opera. Must-have if Opera is your browser of choice

The best on Earth

Positive Comment by dzid_ about PDF XChange Viewer Foxit Reader Jan 2012

One can scroll truly smooth. Much better than shitty Foxit reader.

?he most powerful basic viewer/editor; features that give it a great advantage over similar products: permanently rotating pages, and the typewriter tool. Older versions couldn't change document background, now that this can be done, this is my default software for .pdf files.

For me PDF-XChange Viewer is the best. I tried too Foxit, Sumatra, Nitro,... But when I had downloaded PDF-XC I dropped them. I found all necessary features in PDF-XChange and it works all time very fast. Every time I discover new and new features. For example, yesterday I learned a lot of new things about using Customize Toolbars. It's really very easy to modify. And that all is in Free version

Got tired of Adobe Reader (too slow!), then branched out to Sumatra. Sumatra was fast, but didn't seem to have many features. I wanted a good reader that also would allow me to make annotations. Foxit was... ok, but I remember being much more satisfied with XChange. Also like the ability to add bookmarks in nested trees.
