2003 was the last version worth using. After that they put way too much effort into making scheduled backups and adding features in the windows app. The strongest point of Ghost was, you could easily load/create disk/partition images in a basic GUI environment without having to load windows first. That is essential if your OS is hosed.

I have an older version of this and it works great. Saves you tons of time, so u dont have to reinstall from scratch or for backups/recovery.

Macrium Reflect Free Edition works on Windows XP, Vista and Windows 7.
On all these Windows versions 32 and native 64 Bit. http://alternativeto.net/desktop/macrium-reflect/
The only free XP and Vista compatible disk imaging software with BartPE and Linux based recovery options.

This is a very nice alternative to Ghost and it works with newer computers and USB Hard Drives. I could be wrong but I believe this version has their Startup Recovery Manager. Which I have used on all the computers I've worked on.
