I highly recommend ESET NOD32 Security. It uses hardly any resources and is very effective. Better than Norton or McAffee, in my opinion. It's worth the fee and is the one used by the computer geeks.

The best anti-virus that i used in the past three years .. Until now it's the best
Lowest on system resources, highest in detection, lowest in false positives...what more can you ask. This is the best AV bar none.
Great Anti-virus... At least Version 2.7; it never bugs me, and isn't heavy on the system resources. I don't know about the newer versions, but I stopped using the new AVG for this because the new AVG seems too bloated.
