MyPaint is a fast painting program with an emphasis on full-screen use. It lets you focus on the art instead of the program. You work on your canvas with minimum distractions, bringing up the interface only when you need it. MyPaint supports pressure or tilt sensitive graphic tablets and comes with an easy-to-use brush collection. The strength of MyPaint definitely lies in the strong/straightforward brush customization and unlimited canvas features. It virtually has no image filters, nor any fancy tools you can find in any-other-image-editor, only a color selector, and layer feature... but you don't need them to doodle around!!!! If you double click the MyPaint icon, you are ready to draw in a new canvas with access to infinite brushes. As a friend of mine likes to repeat, MyPaint is best used together with Photoshop/GIMP: doodle in MyPaint, edit in Photoshop/GIMP. I guess, something in between would be PaintToolSAI

Just found this software when looking around for a painting tool that wil be faster to delivery than GIMP. Works perfect so far. The interface is really going the way the makers want it to - right after installing it I was up with doodling around without having to worry about complicated settings and such.... Hope this software catches up with more people. Perfect lightweight painting tool!!
