For Windows, I believe it's the fastest and most versatile player. Updates are frequent and without hasles. User community is great and I find it to be more userfriendly than Foobar

Lots of customizations possible. You can stay in control over what happens to your files. At the same time decent interface design, with some but not to much eye-candy.

Free elegant music organizer with many features to help with search and edit meta-data in large-scale music collection. Best free solutions in my opinion)

Great interface, plays anything, good ripping engine, good artwork fetching, active community making plugins, responsive developer. Free and all previous versions still available if you don't like changes to newer versions.

One-man-army behind the best music player/manager out there!

MusicBee is mostly maintained and created by one man Stephen Mayall. This is the biggest strength because the passion of the developer makes sure that most or ALL of the drawbacks of the player are smoothened out as soon as the user complains about it in the forums. if they can't be due to a reason then SM mentions it in the replies.

The interface of the player is the BEST I have seen so far in managing so many complicated views and information for any playing track. This player is what I use for arranging the 7000+ mp3s in my folders in any way I want. As mentioned before, the seamless Last.fm integration and ability to resync playcount allows one to format their pc and start fresh without having to worry about their playcount as per the player stats.

The online tagging system of the software is great though I personally still prefer Picard. But I must admit the album art collection in UNSURPASSED even in dedicated softwares for album art collection.

This along with a lot other features make this the best music player that money (it's free but still) can buy!

I've been using MusicBee for about a year now. It use to be a bit buggy, but I have zero issues with the current version.
I ditched iTunes a long time ago (along with my iPod, so I can't comment on MB's support). MB is easily superior to SongBird,Winamp and media monkey when it comes to performance.
MB might not be as light-weight as foobar2000 and some others, but it is much more convenient to customize and actually use. Very iTunes-esque interface without all the resource hogging. Highly recommend.

MusicBee is the music player I'd code if I could code!

Having tried almost every music player out there, I had resorted to Windows Media Player, mostly because of its great organising interface (Album Artist tiles, anyone - How about a Now Playing list - Or a clean yet albumart-loving interface?). These requirements excluded right away players like iTunes (no Now Playing list???), foobar (too much texty), WinAmp (no Library or album art views whatsoever), MediaMonkey (clutter clutter clutter) and Songbird (bugggggs!)

MusicBee is iTunes-y when it comes to simplicity, visually appealing (Album Art love FTW) and FILLED TO THE BRIM with features and integration (Last.fm, Wikipedia, Youtube).

Definitely the best choice out there!

Meta Data Doctor - its designed for metadata correction (data in the digital music)

If you want to work on your music library collection ,then use it with audiggle (another awesome the music fingerprinting software) , u'll be amazed how quickly it identify's album art and lyrics once u correct the album or delete the album (sometimes you find the right albums once you delete the album).
Its better than
mediamonkey
songbird
and even foobar which i rate as the geeks music player (light fast).
But the documentation could improve . And some bugs also could be removed
