The 1.12 beta is Super Exciting!

about Mixxx and Serato DJ · ·

Can't wait for the official release, but the beta is already really something special. I'm seriously considering dropping Serato DJ for it. It's that good.

A few key notes:
- I compiled the beta on Linux (Lubuntu), and my 5 year old laptop CPU runs 20-30 degrees cooler than Serato DJ does on Windows 7.
- It has a built in mixer that works really well.
- It has a key analyzer. Also a key change function (!)
- Supports Wavpack (if you compile it yourself) and Opus.
- Has all the standard stuff: mic, effects, samplers, bpm sync, filters, recording, looping.
- Runs solid as far as I've tested.

I'm basically waiting for a better mapping for my Pioneer DDJ-SR, that and I would really love some kind of program that would convert my Serato DJ cue points!! Would also like the option for the transient view (like Serato DJ has), as I don't like the beat grid concept.
