Mightytext Comments

Entirely Satisfactory

An entirely satisfactory way of linking your phone through your home wifi to do basic text messaging and communicating. I've used it for a few years and keep coming back to it as it has reliability, consistency and an archive option. I've not used anything more than the free version but now I am thinking I could as the longer archive option does interest me. Recommended.

Great when it works

It is very convenient to respond to or post new text messages while you are sitting at your computer. The problem I find is it is not very reliable. It's a roll of the dice when I hit the enter key whether the message will be sent or not. Many times I get the warning about waiting for the phone, so maybe there is a problem with my phone. If there is, I don't know what it could be.

Mighty Text Alternative for iPhone

If you have Verizon, VZ Messages is pretty much identical to mighty text. However, it won't sync up nicely with iMessage. You would have to use VZ Messages app. But it works on the computer, iphone, ipad, whatever. Also, it does everything from your phone number (Basically mighty text).I like it more than iMessage. Has many of the same features, group texting, sending out location, seeing all the images, videos, etc. you sent to people in one place. However it doesn't have the level of exclusiveness that iMessage does. These things work with people's phones that don't own apple products too so that's a great plus!!!!!!!!

Simple desktop texting

I like the simple web-interface for sending and receiving texts (SMS)! Awesome.

Update December 19: I've had some issue with contacts not syncing between the web-interface and my phone which is very annoying.. Found out that it's partly because it doesn't support US style formatting of numbers like (415)-123-1234 in contrast to 4151231234. Tried Small pocket.do iconpocket.do but it's not quite as intuitive and easy to use, but at least it supports US style formatting of numbers so you can see who's writing..
