I Wanted a tool to replace Little Snitch, and this one is GREAT. It is Free, Open Source, and very lite weight.

I've used Little Snitch for many years. However, after buying a new Mac I was faced with buying licences for a whole bunch of apps I had paid for several times in the past. Given this unwanted additional expense and the fact that I really don't need all the extra features of the later versions of Little Snitch, I decided to try alternatives. LuLu absolutely fits the bill for the purpose of stopping apps phoning home without your permission.

I like TripMode as an alternative to LittleSnitch because it's simpler UI resembles iOS and it's easy to monitor and block app internet usage. It's also significantly cheaper than LittleSnitch.
