Pocket Casts is a great program, but it is purely focused on podcasts, not on audio and video player and library management. For example, it cannot rip audio CDs or play movies.

Swinsian just works. You add music files to it and it plays them. Doesn't move them, doesn't crash, doesn't complain. Very easy to build playlists which also don't just disappear. Swinsian just helps you listen to music in a simple and easy environment, while allowing you to build playlists as you go.

Doughnut is a podcast client built using Swift. The design and user experience are inspired by Instacast for Mac which was discontinued in 2015. After experimenting with alternate user interface layouts, I kept coming back to the three column layout as most useable and practical.
