inSSIDer is a free Wi-Fi network scanner for Windows (including Windows 7 and 64bit editions). A cross-platform version is in the works and a Linux version is currently in alpha stage.inSSIDer lists networks in range and displays information such as SSID, channel, signal strength, SNR, Access Point vendor, etc. It will track the geographical location if a supported GPS is installed.It tracks the signal strength over time and displays the information in a graphical chart.More features:- Filter access points in an easy-to-use format- Highlight access points for areas with high Wi-Fi concentration- Export Wi-Fi and GPS data to a KML file to view in Google Earth.- Filter through hundreds of scanned access points |
