inSSIDer is a free Wi-Fi network scanner for Windows (including Windows 7 and 64bit editions). A cross-platform version is in the works and a Linux version is currently in alpha stage. inSSIDer lists networks in range and displays information such as SSID, channel, signal strength, SNR, Access Point vendor, etc. It will track the geographical location if a supported GPS is installed.
