I have not yet tried this, but did some research: IFolder is a DIY (Do It Yourself) version of DropBox. You can sync files to multiple computers, and also access them via a web interface. Big difference is that you run it on your own server. Supported server is Suse, and there are instructions for Ubuntu out there too. iFolder originates from a former for-pay product by Novell starting in 2001. It must have went under, and now has come back to be open sourced and re-supported by Novell under GPL open source licensing. The documentation and support and following look to be a little lacking, but hey, it has 7 or 8 years of running history... maybe that means it has something going for it. If you are a DIY'er with a linux server and lots of storage and want it to act more like dropbox, id say we should give this a try. I hope to.
