Grip

Grip was a CD-player/ripper for the Gnome desktop. It had the ripping capabilities of cdparanoia built in, but could also use external rippers (such as cdda2wav). It also provided an automated frontend for various audio encoders (including MP3 and Vorbis), letting you take a disc and transform it easily straight into MP3s.
