We used google wave about two years. And made lots extension for wave. We loved it so much and decided to resurect it in our project rizzoma. Now we are working on collecting user cases. There are so many different cases: investment-analytics, bloggers, gamers, web-developers ...

I added a DISCONTINUED flag and more information on the future of Google Wave to the app description:

"Google announced in August 2010 that there were 'no plans to continue developing Wave as a standalone product', but that they would 'maintain the site at least through the end of the year [2010]'.
(source: Official Google Blog http://bit.ly/9lhAsG).
In September 2010 Google described its plans to develop the Open Source'd code into a standalone version (server and client) that would allow running Wave on your own hardware (albeit not with all features). (source: Google Wave Developers Blog http://bit.ly/aLwTlr)"

We are using ProofHub and it is similar with google wave. It has some additional and new features which makes ProofHub better than any other project management software. It is fast and easy to use.

I use Wave and love it. I use it mostly for taking/sharing notes on projects or classes. There are a few scalability issues when waves grow beyond a certain size but, aside from that, it works great and is very easy to use.

We love Google, but we've spent quite a bit of time @ our agency trying to figure out how to leverage it and in the end Google Wave is just a fun, casual, collaborative tool, not big help for real project or business management software. We set out to build RULE, a productivity tool that brings collaboration over people, projects, documents and more into one online application, so you can mangage business the way you want from anywhere in the world. Check it out at http://rule.fm and experience a productivity tool that actually makes efficiency enjoyable.

I've got my account, and I'm starting to connect with people on Google Wave. There's a bit of a learning curve, and it's going to be a slow start for all of us using it. However, this is a new protocol that's going to have an impact on the way we work together and communicate online...it's very exciting to be in on this!
