    • Uses proxy!!! That's a feature only a few search (or meta-search) engines have! Plus open source. There's a huge variety of sites you can choose from. Framasoft's search engine is based on searx (framabee.org). Results might not be accurate sometimes, but that's because it doesn't track you at all! karaboungalosMay 2017 Disagree   Agree

Google doesn't allow you to turn off tracking my default. But if you have a Google account, you can turn off 'Web and Search history.' That prevents Google from tracking you.

Google is bad. Use DuckDuckGo, it has more privacy, little to no spam, !bang, 0-click info, and tons of customizations. Google offers none of this.

I'm afraid of Google. 1 Helpful

Negative Comment by Marathongman
about Google Search and Google Chrome Jun 2011

I'm afraid of Google. There is an episode on the old TV show The Twilight Zone. Martians come down to earth with a book titled "To Serve Man' They claim they came to earth to save the earths population and start transporting earthlings to the moon.Everything looked good for awhile until one day an earthling discovered that the book "To Serve Man " is a cookbook. Google reminds me a lot of that episode only now Google is the martians. They collect way too much information on internet users for my sense of safety ,comfort and well being.

Try it and forget all other methods of searching in the web.
