FDM accelerates downloads by splitting files into sections and then downloading them simultaneously. As a result download speed increases up to 600%, or even more! FDM can also resume broken downloads so you needn`t start downloading from the beginning after casual interruption. Also support torrent, flash download and much more. More info »

First time using a download manager. (since about 5 years ago) Downloaded a 3gb file in 37 minutes! at the end I actually watched this program work, you can watch graphically how it breaks the large file into pieces. VERY COOL. earlier today and yesterday I attempted downloading this file and was capped at about 500kb/s sometimes as low as 300kb/s. But with this program I got an unprecedented 1.35Mb/s !!! I am a little curious as to how well other popular download accelerators perform; However, I am so impressed by Free Download Manager that I think I will just stick with this one. :)

Hands down the best free download manager I ever used. No banners, spyware, ads or the like. My only gripe is that it's time to update the GUI a bit to make it look even better!

Good overall but not really portable as advertised as it leaves information in the registry (would be better if they used ini files). If you don't care about portability and would install this program anyway, I think this is probably the best to use.

It's feature-rich, it's free and it works like a charm.
Really, it has so many features I didn't even know I wanted !
