What about WebDrive?

about ExpanDrive Jul 2014

WebDrive is a great alternative to ExpanDrive. It has been around much longer (since 1998) and has a much more mature feature set. ExpanDrive doesn't support FTP-WebDrive supports it and much more.

WebDrive currently runs on Windows, iOS, Android, Surface, and Mac too.

about ExpanDrive Jun 2011

I have used version 1.x for years on Windows XP and Windows 7 and found it quite fast and reliable. My only annoyance is the interface was a bit small as I manage about 40 machines.

Version 2 recently came out and the same license will work with my Mac. The interface looks a bit better but I have not used it enough to comment on whether it is a big improvement yet.

about ExpanDrive Jun 2011

I'd discourage use of this because it's just all round slower. Both the transfers and the dent in performance in Finder and any application that uses the Save As window. Basically each time one of those panes is called then Expandrive needs to run out to the remote site you're connected to and get a response before that pane will be responsive. It's painful. Whatever you gain in convenience of having a similar looking finder window for your remote site is lost in waiting for the whole of Finder to be responsive.

Suggest FireFTP (firefox FTP addon) or Cyberduck.
