If you want event management with event discovery, eventbrite is the way to go.
I love Eventbrite.. It is so easy to use and has direct integration with Google Calendar... Nice!
I can't speak to using it to organize events, but it's worked well for buying tickets to events I've attended... Except I keep getting alerts for events I have no interest in, on the other side of the continent or even the planet, and it only lets me "unsubscribe" from one campaign at a time as I receive them. My email preferences now list about 10 organizations I've blocked, even though I've theoretically unsubscribed from "all Eventbrite newsletters and updates for attendees"
It has all the features I need for mutli-participant workshops. It integrates well with calendars on the attendee side and various CRMs and other apps (via Zapier) on the event manager side. Completely mobile-friendly, yes! (I tried Eventable but not quite as feature rich and iOS / Safari friendly as needed with date-pickers.)
