Actually, GNOME and Epiphany are free software. Though they fit the criteria for Open source, they are marketed and released as free. Also, Free Software is different from Freeware. Free Software respects the user's freedome, where Freeware is generally used to describe a proprietary program distributed without a fee(gratis)
