My Dropbox is currently @ 24 GB in free space. It's drop dead simple, well integrated & highly accessible from anywhere [PC, laptop, phone, tablet, microwave, bionics]. For me, it's the flagship cloud data synchronisation product of the 21st century. It'd be cool if it was like another service like say 'Google Docs', where you could have higher levels of collaboration as well, instead of just file sharing. Although, I guess there'd be too much bloat making its way into the install.
I'd also like it if the Dropbox team could allow public file sharing to be more flexible as well as including external folders outside of the primary one. There's is a concern about security for sensitive information. For that, I say get 'TrueCrypt' & go nuts.
Dropbox remains as a solution to the archaic filesystems that we suffer. I would much rather a highly visual/efficient system, high production experience with my explorers/file managers. This doesn't have to leave newcomers dazed and the competent frustrated. There's no reason for Windows to still have the same stupid explorer that they've had forever. In this regard, Apples approach to dealing with files is much better and is one of the only reasons I like OSX over Windows. However, if you need the time-wasting file sorting mechanisms such as the one provided by Windows and a couple Linux OS, Dropbox is your man.
SpiderOak is another competitive app to dropbox (especially in terms of pricing). Never tried SugarSync or SkyDrive but I've heard good things.
