Their IE hate message for users with Internet Explorer it very outdated!
"We see you're using Internet Explorer, which is not compatible with this site. We strongly suggest downloading Firefox. We think you'll like it better:
· Firefox blocks pop-up windows. **IE does that just as well...** · It features thousands of free themes and add-ons. **I don't care, but can't argue this point** · It's far more secure against viruses and spyware. **HAHAHA. Take a look at this graph and tell me that NSS labs is lying... 96% protection from IE9 vs 7.6% from Firefox. http://windowsteamblog.com/ie/b/ie/archive/2011/08/15/ie9-with-smartscreen-leads-malware-protection-once-again.aspx** · It keeps Microsoft from controlling the future of the Internet. **Google is already doing that...** · It's better for web designers and developers. **I'm a web developer and I design for IE then test on other browsers. Firefox, Chrome, and Safari can never agree on how to render it after I have it working in IE.** · Features like tabbed browsing make reading webpages easier **Are we still in the 90's? I have been using tabbed browsing since the MSN toolbar had it before IE integrated it.**"
Good downloader but there are better standalone like HTTRACK.
HTTrack is a web-site copier, not a download manager. I mean, yes, you could use it as a download manager. But the primary purpose of DownThemAll is to manage your Firefox downloads, speed them up. Also you can grab links, images, etc.
Great for organizing, pausing, and speeding up my downloads (up to about 4 times faster), this is defiantly one of the must-have add-ons for Firefox.
very good downloader and powerful whit firefox ... maybe it's work nicely if you try (flashget) add-one whit it ..
My download manager of choice, great for anyone that uses solely firefox.
