DirSync Pro (Directory Synchronize Pro) is a small utility for file and folder synchronization without bidirectional file-deletion. I could go on about the quirks this thiing has, and I actually did on the sourceforge site- on all 3 of this guys listings for the app.
The thing about it that keeps it installed is that it checksums.
TeraCopy checksums in a similarly useless way- ie. a failed transfer warns- only warns, no chance to retry or anything logical like that.
But java's quicker than whatever TeraCopy's written in apparently.

I see 2 disadvantages:
(A) Uses no local database, does not need any installation. Because there is no local database, and because of features description at http://directorysync.sourceforge.net/features.html it cannot be possible that a file or directory, which is deleted at one side also will be deleted at the other side. This is only possible, if a synchronisation data file in the synced directory is used. So it is done by "Synkron", "Allway Sync" and WebSynchronizer.
(B) No multilanguage-support, only english
