It seems it does refresh desktop after each SAVE, which moves all icons to default (i.e. sorted by system) positions.

I use DesktopOK since 2-3 years without any Virus-warning

about DesktopOK Feb 2013

My opinion is, that the virus warning cannot have a real background.

Otherwise one of my different virus protection software(s) on 3 computers would have detected the virus, because I use DesktopOK every day on all my 3 computers.

The very good ranking (place 9 of 67) on http://www.chip.de/downloads/DesktopOK-64-Bit_42644766.html also indicates, that DesktopOK is clean and Ok.

On http://www.chip.de/downloads/DesktopOK-32-Bit_42644474.html 94% like DesktopOK, only 6% do not like it.

Currently flagged with warning?

about DesktopOK Dec 2012

There is currently a warning (as of Dec. 23, 2012) of a Trojan being present at this application's homepage. For the record, I checked and could not find one. I have had absolutely no problems with any software from SoftwareOK - especially malware problems - in the years (~2) I have been using them.

Try your own virustotal scan before deciding against this application / developer.

DesktopOK is unique & works great! Should be part of the OS!

DesktopOK is unique and works great!
DesktopOK is functionally better in my eyes than the alternatives such as "Desktop Restore". I am enthusiastic. The program covers an urgent need super and should actually be contained in Vista.
