Benubird PDF Comments

Gets slow if you have a lot of PDF's

Initially I thought this application was good, it indexed the PDFs I put into it and performed excellently. But then I indexed my whole library, when you put more than a few hundred PDFs into it the performance becomes unusably slow.

So its quite good for small collections but for a large collection where it is really needed it is not useful, does anyone know of an alternative?

Love this program. On my system it is not sluggish at all. Loads instantly and extremely responsive once in it. I am using direct links to files and not the repository, so I don't know if that makes a difference. Would be great if scanner integration could be put in to this product but for now I am using iCopy and a PDF Printer (I use BullZip but any will do) so I can scan to PDF and then I drag that PDF in to Benubird.
