Nothing Like it.

Positive Comment by impossible about Adobe Photoshop CC Also mentioning: GIMP Aug 2013

Powerful tool I like to use, does the job. But after getting the hang of GIMP you simply like both, im slowly converting to GIMP. Photoshop is heavy :\ but GIMP may not be fully stable. Stuck between both.

Love it

I use this program everyday, at work and at school. It is a must have for anyone dealing with photos or graphics. Its simple enough for a child to draw with, while being complex enough for top notch graphic designers. Nothing will ever come close.

StylePix Pro is a alternative to PhotoShop for mid-range users.

This is the best graphics editing program for me!

I can't afford to use this on my personal PCs (so I go with GIMP), but at work... There really just isn't any alternative (yet) that matches Adobe Photoshop in quality and ubiquity. Even if I skip a generation, it's fairly pricy, but pays for itself in just a few small projects. I'm still rooting for other open source, free or less-expensive alternatives, but for now Adobe Photoshop is the de facto standard for image editing.

As much as disgusts me to spend $1800 on one software package (CS5 Design Premium) there just isn't anything even remotely close to as good as Adobe's products. Photoshop is easily 10 years ahead of everything else on the market and worth the cost of admission. If you do any serious design work you simply have to have it.

I still love Photoshop -- despite the price...

...and it's worth remembering that the earlier versions had some of the very best GUI design in their day.

There is not AlternativeTo Photoshop and Adobe Creative Suite in my opinion. There are only other tools that compliment them or make something a little easier. Photoshop is a professional's tool and thus the price tag. Most professionals can make Photoshop pay for itself inside of a week. Worth every penny!

Photoshop (and Illustrator for that sake) is a killer app. Unfortunately, mostly due to poor competition, Adobe can abuse their position to inflate the pricing. $700 for Photoshop alone, and $1400 for CS4? It's a great piece of software, but it's not $700 good.

This is a very good program, I have used Photoshop 7 for years for all of the graphics design that I have done. It has many features that save time. My personal favorite part of this program is the 'actions' feature that it has. Currently I use Gimp, but it does not have actions. If you have the money to buy this program, then I recommend it.
