Adobe Flash Professional is Adobe's authoring environment (IDE) for its proprietary Adobe Flash Platform. Using Adobe Flash Professional users can produce interactive solutions for running inside web browsers (based on the popular Flash Player), or for the desktop (based on Adobe Integrated Runtime aka AIR)
Flash Professional can be purchased separately or as part of the Adobe Creative Suite.
Adobe offers a second product aimed at Flash Developers called Adobe Flash Builder (formerly Flex Builder).
