Searching for app icons on Google is a pain. The best way to find an app icon for AlternativeTo is to extract the icon from that app yourself. Boardies already has an post on how to extract icons on Windows, but hey, not everybody uses Windows. :P To extract an icon from a Mac app, first open your Applications folder.
Right-click the app with the icon that you want, and click "Get Info".
Click on the little icon on the top-left of the "Get Info" window. Copy it.
Open Preview, the built-in image viewer for Mac. Create a new image; Preview will instantly recognize the icon that you copied (you don't even have to paste it).
Save the icon as a PNG file.
Congrats. You now have a super-smexy 512x512 app icon in the PNG format! :D |
