Myself and a few others joined together as an informal volunteer group and used TeamViewer as a means of teaching people in 3rd world nations how to use a computer and the internet. The product seemed to be an ideal fit until I was shocked to find the message "Commercial use detected!" plastered across the screen and i'm not allowed to use it for more than 5 minutes. How is giving up my free time to help a poor person learn to use the internet and a PC a commercial venture? I phoned them and was told that the only option was buying a $700+ education license (per computer!). Sorry Teamviewer, I can't afford to use your product. Hugely disappointed. |
