Soon improved: Duplicati is the only backup-app, with timestamp in backup filenames 1/more hour(s) wrong
Since you are in a country with UTC+1, the time is "off" by one hour.
I live in Austria: Example for a Backup-File-Name: duplicati-inc-content.20110207T161739Z.vol1.zip
Here 1617 is the wrong time of the backup, because the backup was done on 1717.
The wrong timestamp in the file name is confusing, and you should see at a glance, when the backup was done. Until version Jan-2011 the users in most countries (except with UTC 0) get a false information from the filename, it is necessary to create an option to use the local time in the filename, if the backup target is a local directory and not an online target (e.g. Amazon S3 or WebDAV, not MS Skydrive), which is also one of many very useful features of Duplicati.
Nearly all other backup apps use the correct time in the filename in each country.
Actually this is a unique disadvantage of duplicati. The develover of duplicati Kenneth Skovhede quickly picked up the feedback & promised to improve this little disadvantage of this excellent backup application (1):
I'll look into making an option for creating the files with local time format instead.
