Its only significant flaw is that it's Windows only. Podcasts, iPod syncing (*real* syncing), great library and metadata management, watch folders, and on the fly conversions for portable devices (ie, ogg to mp3 for the iPod). Pay for the gold version, it's worth it.

If you are on Windoze, you have to try MM. I can't see how anyone who has actualy spent time using all of iTunes, WinAmp, Songbird and MM would choose anything but MM. The free version blows them all away, and the Gold version brings even more to the table, its worth the coin.

MediaMonkey is my go-to tool for tagging and adding album art to songs. I don't like it for actually playing songs/podcasts though.

With so many plugins, this app is def. my favorite when it comes to media players. I have 126gb of music so far. Before switching from using iTunes, my folders were cluttered and completely unorganized. Thanks to MM all of my files are tidy and correct. I found a gold version online, tried it, then actually paid the money for it. Seriously, it's worth it.

If you have a gigantic library of music, MM is a must-have.

I love the on-the-fly conversion feature. Too bad you have to pay for it (it isn't in the free version except for during your trial period).

I'm not sure why there are so many "Likes" here. I don't think people realize that you're not making an exact copy of a CD with MediaMonkey. This is the reason I love EAC so much.

@kompulsive - Probably because MediaMonkey is no mere CD ripper.

I see MediaMonkey less as a music player or cd ripper, but as a music library manager.
MM is the best allround tool to manage your music library. The organizing and tagging feature is really powerful and easy to understand.

This is the best music files management software I have used. Like many others, I tried mediamonkey after being frustrated with the itunes bloatware. It does everything I need to manage my ipod without having to continuously update and run itunes and various other things Apple foists on you along with itunes.
