The project is no longer developed. Last version, 2.0b1, released in April 2007, can be still downloaded from Google Code Archive but it doesn't work on latest Mac OS version.

iPodDisk does not work on any current Mac machine that i'm aware of.

The Official website for iPodDisk is in the Google Code Archive. It has not been updated in just over 10 years. I tried to run it, and was immediately given a message "Needs OS 10.4 or later" Of course, i'm running MacOS Sierra (OS X 10.12.4), since 10.4 hasn't been the active or supported for years.

(I hesitate to mark it "discontinued" only because there is no official notation on the Google site, and the Google site is, of course, an Archive. So, if you were running an old Mac, then perhaps it will work?)

What is iPodDisk?

iPodDisk is designed to make it easy and intuitive to copy music off iPod; it enables you to do so by emulating an iDisk drive. Most “get music off iPod” applications come with built-in search functions, but iPodDisk has none - the author has chosen not to waste his time cooking up such facilities that can never compete with Spotlight. Instead, he chose to make it work with Spotlight.
