Half my office is now using Digsby after they've seen me use it. In my top 5 favorite applications.

Digsby made all this fun online sh%t usable again - email, social nets, IM, if I had to go do it all without digsby, it would be a pain.

Digsby is great. To bad they have all that bloat-ware in the installer thou. I can't tell friends to just install Digsby without getting a bunch of crap on the PC's. I don't know how bad those things are thou?

They MAKE you sign up for a Digsby account... EGH... Other than that seems cool, but will probably be deleted. Pidgin, amsn or miranda are better bets IMO. Or meebo.com or mibbit.com for IRC.

Maybe i was unclear but they do not FORCE you to install those things in the installer but my mother would never understand the diffrence between the other stuff in that installer and the actual application. i Think it kind of suck. I rather see som ads in the application itself.

A little tip: Digsby just received a major upgrade. On my system it now uses less memory than Google Talk(!).

I agree with the crap in the installer though. But I'm not sure it would be better with ads within the application, as I think it might fence off some of the highly needed “opinion leaders” who use Digsby before everyone else.

Jup, just read it. I say screw Digsby. It's a pity though, because it really is THE best multiprotocol IM I've ever used (and I've used them all).

Due to the recent upgrade that increases the Twitter functionality, I noticed that running Twitter on Digsby made it unbelievably slow to pull in tweets/updates (at least on my computer's meager RAM). That's not really anything to complain about (I can put Twitter on Twhirl), because all my IM needs are happily met, including Facebook IM!!
    Dgsby still Rawks!

Digsby is a great client to have. I can monitor my chat programs, fb, and twitter accounts in one sleek program.

Digsby doesn't install the bloatware anymore. So give it a shot!
