This should be tagged as 3d-graphics, too. Can we users do it?
@JT: ok I added the tag of 3d-graphics.
This program I find to be really good. It has come a long way, originally it could not do much more than a simple graphics program, but now it is comparable to most of the commercial applications out there. It still lacks in a few areas, but in a couple of years I expect to to completely rival the commercial programs.
@Aaron: Thanks for adding the tag. And yes, I think Blender is a great app.
I've seen a lot of very nice results achieved with Blender, but it's quite hard to learn to use it for beginners. Anyway, I'm still keen to learn to use it, although I've also tried other easier programmes and like them.
Blender's VSE is one of the most stable video editors for the Linux platform. You might not think of Blender as a video editor, but it really does work quite well and is pretty powerful after you learn it.It does have a rather steep learning curve, though. It's also a bit more resource intensive than other editing software.
